Objective:-

The Cisco Certified Network Associate certification solidifies and markets your knowledge of installing, configuring, and opening routed LANs and WANs. Optimizing WAN traffic through Internet access solutions that reduce bandwidth, and reducing WAN costs using features such as access list filters are also professional tasks of a CCNA.

  • Install and configure Cisco switches and routers in multiprotocol internetworks using LAN and WAN interfaces.
  • Provide Level 1 troubleshooting service.
  • Improve network performance and security.

Course Details:-


I. Describe how a network works:

  • Describe the purpose and functions of various network devices.
  • Describe the purpose and basic operation of the protocols in the OSI and TCP/IP models.
  • Describe the impact of application (VOIP) or a network.
  • Troubleshoot network at layers 1, 2, 3 &7.
  • Configure, verify and troubleshoot a switch with VLANs and inters witch communications.
  • Explain the technology and media access control method for Internet network.
  • Configure, verify and troubleshoot VLAN & inter VLAN routing.
  • Configure, verify and troubleshoot RSTP operation.

II. Implement an IP addressing scheme:

  • Describe the operation and benefits of using private and public IP addressing.
  • Calculate and apply an addressing scheme using XLSM.
  • Describe IPVG addressing.

III. Configure verify and troubleshoot basic router operation and routing on Cisco devices:

  • Describe basic routing concepts
  • Configure verify and troubleshoot RIPV2, EIGRP, OSPF.
  • Manage Cisco IOS.
  • Verify network connectivity.

IV. Explain & Select appropriate tests required for a WLAN:

  • Describe standards of wireless media (IEEEWI-FI, Alliance, ITU /FCC).
  • Identity the components in a small wireless network (SSID, BSS, ESS).
  • Describe wireless security features (NEP, WPA-1/2)

V. Identity Security threats to a network:

  • Describe Security Threats.
  • Describe functions of common security application.

VI. Implement, verify & troubleshoot NAT & ACL:

  • Describe types of ACL
  • Configure ACL to limit telnet & SSH access
  • Explain and configure NAT

VII. Implement & verify WAN links:

  • Describe different methods of connecting routers to a WAN.
  • Implement PPP.
  • Describe VPN technology.
